Skyvault Expedition

Skyvault Expedition is an unhurried adventure about climbing between floating islands and figuring out how old machines work. There's no combat to speak of, just environmental puzzles and a lot of looking around. The sense of place is lovely, with wind that pushes grass and clouds drifting below your feet.

Progress comes from understanding mechanisms rather than grinding. Most puzzles clicked for us within a few minutes, and the handful that stumped us never felt unfair once we spotted the trick. The swipe-to-move navigation is smooth and the camera behaves itself.

It's a short-ish game and the story stays vague, which some players will love and others won't. We came away calm and a little charmed.
